CITY ON A HILL ARTS - CALL FOR VENUES
City on a Hill Arts, a nonprofit based in North Central Massachusetts, is seeking to broaden our list of performance venues in 2025 and beyond. If you are the owner or manager of any indoor space that could be converted into a theater, we are interested in talking to you about long-term residence or rental opportunities.
City on a Hill Arts, Inc., produces works of art that explore the intersection of faith, spirituality, and culture, fostering in each of us a more just and loving response. Since 2015, we have been presenting theatrical productions across the North Central Massachusetts region, including Fitchburg, Gardner, Ashburnham, Townsend, and Ashby. Our past productions have included well-known works such as The Diary of Anne Frank, The Laramie Project, The Crucible, and Doubt as well as new plays that confront social issues such as suicide prevention and gun violence. Learn more about our mission on our About Us page.
We have been a nomadic company that contracts with a new venue for each show. As we expand, we are searching for a more permanent home base. We are seeking a partnership with a building owner or organization where we can be in residence and present two full theatrical productions per year, plus some one-night events throughout the year.
Nontraditional spaces that can be converted into a theater are welcome! We have lighting and sound equipment and a team of volunteers that can transform any large room into a performance venue.
We are also interested in discussing vacant buildings that might be available for sale, or open land on which a new structure could be built.
To talk to us about any possible opportunities, please email Executive Director Debbie Moylan at director@cityonahillarts.org.
